Unique Tanks- Fermentation
Our projects in Nebraska have consisted of several steel fermention tanks for the Ethanol Industry. These Fermentation tanks are actually used to ferment the corn mash into alcohol. They are made from stainless steel and operate at high temperatures. The contents are agitated with agitators and loaded and unloaded every 48hrs. The finished product tanks that store the 190 proof ethanol alcohol have floating roofs with seals against the walls to prevent evaporation and product loss. Before finished ethanol can be shipped by rail or truck the plant must add 5% gasoline to ethanol to tanks before shipping to make the alcohol undrinkable.
