A Balancing Act
We had the challenge of building two steel asphalt storage tanks down by the river that were 90 ft diameter. Unstable soil conditions required the use of stability aids for the foundation. The storage tanks were unique in the fact that they were holding a product at a temperature of over 500 degrees. This required a higher strength steel and specialized welding procedures
